Safer Internet Day (SID) is an annual worldwide event celebrated in February each year to encourage all of us to work together to create a better Internet. It is celebrated globally in over 130 countries, SID is a chance for millions of people around the world to be inspired for positive change and to raise awareness about the importance of online security.
On Tuesday, 9 February 2021, we will celebrate the 18th edition of Safer Internet Day with actions taking place right across the globe. With a theme once again of “Together for a better internet”, the day calls upon all stakeholders to join together to make the internet a safer and better place for all, and especially for children and young people. It’s a day to bring communities together to discuss challenges families face navigating the digital world, and empowers them to use technology responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively.
