International Nurse Day is observed globally on 12 May every year. This day is observed to commemorate the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale also known as Lady with the Lamp who was the founder of modern nursing and was a British social reformer and statistician. Nurses are a critical workforce in the battle with COVID-19, dedicating their time to protect, support, and care for people affected by the virus in the community. Let’s acknowledge this sacrifice on this International Nurse’s day.
